Although it is much difficult to distribute books at a discount rate amidst the prevailing economic crisis in the country, we are making an effort to distribute books and instruments at high discount rates considering the social wellness. Accordingly, you have an opportunity to buy the items at the following rates lower than the market price.

Special discount for school bags

School shoes can be bought at Rs. 850/- with a DSI Voucher of Rs. 1000/-.

  1. You can submit your application for the required school books and instruments in one of the following methods.

  2. Access www.hdts.lk and submit the duly completed Online Google Form

  3. Download the application from www.hdts.lk and submit the duly completed application to the office.

  4. You can obtain the application from the coordinator of your organization or office and submit the duly completed application to the office.


Conditions

  • As there is a limited availability of items in the market, priority is given to the first and quick applications. After the quantity of the required items was distributed, the same items will not be distributed to you.
  • Only the members, who have completed a minimum period of six months of membership, are eligible to apply for this loan.
  • Maximum loan amount for the school books and instruments is Rs. 25,000/-. Apart from this, a DSI voucher for school bags can be obtained. However, maximum loan amount for books is Rs. 35,000/-.
  • The final decision is taken by the Book Loan Committee in respect of the applications from the members who previously obtained book loans and those who have to settle any other loans.
  • Supplying of goods will not be personally informed over the phone or any other means, but the place and time for supplying goods will be displayed on this website and posters. Accordingly, the timetable is effective from 20.02.2023. Unaccepted items will not be reissued.
  • No limited items will be supplied in excess.
  • At the time of supply, items should be accepted in a correct quantity. No later complaints or requests will be entertained.
  • Loan amount will be recovered in 10 installments.
